I found a couple of things interesting about <a href="http://www.philly.com/inquirer/local/pa/chester/voices/20080203_A_long-closed_store_is_ringing_up_controversy.html">this article</a>. First, the Army Corps of Engineers is having a closed-door, invitation-only meeting to discuss the future of this store. I find the legality of such a meeting to be questionable, personally, and would question its intent if I were active in preservation in that area. (The store, by the way, is located <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=bondsville+road+and+route+322,Guthriesville,+East+Brandywine,+Chester,+Pennsylvania,+United+States&sll=40.033242,-75.763714&sspn=0.002243,0.003294&ie=UTF8&ll=40.033168,-75.763757&spn=0.008971,0.013175&t=h&z=16&om=0">here</a>.)<br /><br />Second, I noticed that the author's last name was Rittenhouse, and immediately thought of Jack Rittenhouse, the author of the "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Guide-Book-Highway-66/dp/0826311482">A Guidebook to Highway 66</a>" published in 1946.66 Productionshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06403879260313212058noreply@blogger.com
